 Many members of the our team have been skating together as a group for as long as 7 years competitively, with various levels of organization. It was only 3 years ago that The Drive Sports Store, in the Art Museum area of Philadelphia, became our official Team Sponsor. In that small amount of time, our active membership has nearly tripled and our Team has become a known force in the area in the Advanced and Masters categories. Our biggest achievement of the 2003 season was, again, the Team performance at this year's Northshore Inline Marathon, in Duluth, MN. With one of the largest single team presences in the Advanced Category, three members of our team, Tom Detwiler, Mark Wiater and Josh Willis controlled the race, with a 1st place win for Tom Detwiler. Many on our Team took podium spots in various Age Group categories as well. Our main goals for
the 2004 season are to concentrate on increasing our active membership
by providing regular technique training sessions for newer members and
to help our most advanced skaters move into the Pro/Elite or Pro/Masters
categories. |
